The Nor'easter of March 5-6 2001

Here are some thumbnails of the pics I took around the house after the Big Nor'Easter of March 5-6 2001. It was impossible to measure it, since the wind was blowing wildly the whole time, and as you can see, it stuck to the windows, to the side of the house (see close-up pics) , and even to the show shovel handle (both sides- a neat trick) as it sat on the porch. Estimates are between 25 and 32 inches for this area, which may be an all-time record for one storm.are consistent with my own estimates, which was close to 30 inches. You would not know the porch had a roof, since it snowed 6 inches onto it. It even snowed almost 10 feet into the carriage house through the crack in the sliding door. Very pretty, though. HR There are some other pics of the scene in York Beach at the Inn on the Blues. It was laughing at my snow shovel (look at the handle)

It covered the covered porch

Made the carriage house beautiful. Yes, the walls are vertical, though covered with snow on the upper half.
