Fishing Pond Blues

I came home late last night at just about the stroke of three
I came home last night kitchen clock was striking three
Could not find my baby in my bed where she used to be

Maybe she's out walking the dog or chasing some old raccoon
Maybe she's out walking the dog chasing some possum or raccoon
I got a funny feeling she's out howling at the moon

CHORUS:
Something fishy's going on somebody's been fishing in my pond
Something fishy's going on somebody's fishing in my pond
Got out my fishing pole this morning, every last one of them fish was gone

Someone is digging in my garden, picking tomatoes off my vine
Someone is digging up my cabbages, picking tomatoes off my vine
Took a look at my tomato patch, not one ripe tomato did I find

There's tire tracks in my driveway, right where I park my car
Muddy tire tracks in my driveway, where I usually park my car
Milk bottle is empty, not a single cookie in my cookie jar

CHORUS:
Something fishy's going on somebody's been fishing in my pond
Something fishy's going on somebody's fishing in my pond
Got out my fishing pole this morning, every last one of them fish was gone
